Volunteers
...Inasmuch
as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have
done it unto me. Matthew
25:40
We
welcome our volunteers and recognize the fulfillment that Christians
receive in doing good works. We would like to present the following
guidance to assist you and perhaps give you some ideas to help us.

Kitchen/Food
Services - A well balanced meal is very important at
Friendship Mission and we take great care in it's preparation.
Volunteers are always welcome in helping with the preparation but
there is also a limited amount of staff that can be in the kitchen
to help the volunteers. One way that we can work around this
problem is for you to prepare food at your church and deliver it
to us ready to serve. Cooking pans can be provided to help you in
your preparation. Please contact Mary Rosato at 467-7687 or
email her at friendshipkitchen@gmail.com
to work
out something that works well for you and the shelter. Please
leave a message if she is not there when you call |
| Preaching
God's word - Friendship Mission preaches 2 times per day
except on Saturday and volunteers are always needed in this capacity.
Please contact Vincent Rosato if you are a member of an
evangelical church and wish to pursue this need. Vince can be
reached at 467-7688. Please leave a message if he is not in when
you call. |

Special
Classes - Friendship Mission always has a needs for special
classes. Presently we have a class being conducted on 'The Godly
Woman'. Perhaps other classes could be taught in financial
management, parenting skills, cooking and just about any thing
that will help individuals in a spiritual and practical manner. If
you are interested please
contact Vincent Rosato at 467-7688. Please leave a message if he
is not in when you call. |
| Special
Projects - perhaps you are a handyman and can help with
repairs around Friendship Mission. Or you might even like to start
a vegetable garden. We have 7 acres and the manpower. We just need
a volunteer to oversee it. If you are interested please contact
Tom Whitfield at 281-2395. |
